3:18 A.M. is named finalist in IFC.com/Red Bull After Hours Web Series Challenge

CLEVELAND, OH — Autumn Haze Pictures is excited to announce that 3:18 A.M., a 5-minute cut of their award-winning short 3:18, was chosen as a finalist in the Red Bull After Hours Web Series Challenge.

Five finalist were chosen out of over 150 entries for a chance at a development deal for a web series based on the submitted short. The theme of the contest, which worked well with the Autumn Haze short, was to “explore what happens after hours.”

Autumn Haze writer/director Tony Samangy sees this as a major step forward for the independent production company. “It's great to get recognition from an established leader in independent filmmaking IFC. This justifies that we are on the right path."

3:18 has been in many film festivals and won a Silver Telly Award. This dark comedy, starring Jeff Staron and Marylee Gotch, about life, death and the persistence of time (or lack thereof), is an honest and funny look at the destructive stupidity of hormones and self-doubt in a new relationship.

Autumn Haze Pictures' 3:18 wins Silver Telly Award.

CLEVELAND, OH — Autumn Haze Pictures was honored with a 2006 Silver Telly, the highest honor, in the independent film/video category, by the Telly Awards. The Tellys (www.tellyawards.com/) are given to "honor outstanding local, regional, and cable television commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions."

"It's hard to express how thrilled we all are to have been awarded this honor for our very first short," said writer/director Anthony J. Samangy. "Everyone involved worked so hard and put forth great effort to make as high quality, entertaining short as we could, all with pretty much no budget."

"3:18" has had a successful trip through the festival circuit having appeared locally in the Ohio Independent Film Festival and the Akron Independent Film Festival, but also as far away as Seattle and Los Angeles. Autumn Haze Pictures is now focusing on future projects including a documentary and another short film project. "3:18" is now online for everyone's enjoyment at www.autumnhazepictures.com/films/318.

About The Film
"3:18" is a dark comedy about life, death and the persistence of time (or lack thereof) while being an honest and funny look at the destructive stupidity of hormones and self-doubt in a new relationship. Take two stoners, played by Jeff Staron and Marylee Gotch, mix in a bit of urban isolation and enough time to exercise their gray matter, what you get is something truly unique. It's a little serious, a little funny but awful awkward and a whole lot of fun. "3:18" features an incredible soundtrack of local Cleveland musicians including The New Salem Witch Hunters, The Unknown, Prick, and the up-and-coming Disengage; who were recently voted Best Hard Rock Band in the Free Times Music Awards.

Documentary "Having It All" Finishes Shooting: Website and Trailer Launched

CLEVELAND, OH — Autumn Haze Pictures has launched the companion Web site to its nearly completed documentary “A Girl’s Guide to Having It All.” The film explores the notion whether women can, or cannot, really “have it all”, and the site features the first of six trailers, relevant images, and information about the creator, participants and production.

The Web site is located at: http://www.autumnhazepictures.com/films/girlsguide/index.html

“What started as a personal project, having myself struggled with the concept of ‘having it all’, now has the makings of a phenomenon,” relates creator Brenda Patterson. “I’m so excited to be offering a glimpse into this upcoming film, which in concept alone has already touched so many women.”

Producer Tom Loveman explains, “In today's media, including reality television and scripted shows, there are so many 'don’t’ examples and very few ‘do’ ones. 'A Girl’s Guide to Having It All’ is a chance to show an honest perspective of everyday women and the choices they've made to achieve ‘it all.’”
